My equipment (for now :)):
PC Computer (3.0 GHz, Intel Pentium 4, 1Gb RAM) Sound Card M-Audio Mobile Pre USB Microphone M-AUDIO Nova And Software (Fruity Loops, Reason, Acid, Sound Forge and Adobe Audition) My first songs will be more experimental, just until I get deeper and better into music. I hope you will enjoy in my songs. ;) My tips :D Studio, production and way to history Intro Hi, First of all, I want to tell you, that maybe I’ve made some mistakes writing this text, and I don’t want to change your opinion about the music, production and your own studio… I know that’s very difficult to make a first step into music. Many of us, don’t have too much money, to spend it buying a professional studio equipment. But, maybe the most important thing in the beginning, is to love music, deep from your heart. If you want to make money with music, you will never find your place in history. You have to play with music... That’s the only true way to get yourself into the history, ‘cause, think about it – you don’t want to be famous just when you make a hit, you can do better than that. ;) I’m Al Sensation (in fact, that’s the name which I “defend” inside the world of music). Studio Like I’ve said, many of us, don’t have too much money, to spend it buying a professional studio equipment, but I know that we can begin with some smaller studio, only with few things. For bigger and greater studios, we need thousands of euros for sure. But, that’s only you final goal for now. My review of first studio: 1. Strong confidence Sometimes, we finish our song, but when we hear it again, we told us “That’s not what I wanted”. There are too many reasons for that: our friends don’t like our music or even we spot some mistake in the song… But, don’t quit. Learn from mistakes, find reasons why somebody don’t like your song, and don’t make the same mistakes in your next song. 2. PC or laptop I think that is better to buy some good laptop (for traveling…). But you can have a PC too. The only tip is that you shouldn’t install some software which can slow down your PC or laptop (games, programs which you don’t use…) 3. Sound card I think, that external sound cards are better than the others (for example M Audio Pre USB), but most important is to get some good, really good card, ‘cause you’ll need it. 4. Microphone Mic is of course need if you make vocal music :D. Don’t look for some cheap microphone. And one tip is that female vocals are often better than male vocals ;) 5. Headphones It’s funny to give much money for headphones, but if you don’t have studio monitors, you will need headphones for mastering and good production. 6. Software. I recommend: Fruity Loops, Reason, Adobe Audition, Acid, Sound Forge… 7. Others With word others, I think on some mixers and something like that. But, for the beginning, let your software do that work :D You can see, you don’t need to much money to start, but I can tell, if you work hard, you will get you money back shortly. And, one of the most important things for studio is to create some relaxing place and atmosphere, where you can relax. If you work with someone, talk a little, make them happier, and you are ready to get yourself higher. Learn from the others and your mistakes, be unique and original – the world is waitting for you. |
